Job Description
As a truck driver with BRISK TRANSPORT INC., your main duties will include:
- Driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Working as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Performing vehicle inspections (brakes, tires, lights, etc.)
- Conducting emergency roadside repairs when needed
- Maintaining records of cargo, hours, distance travelled, and fuel
- Ensuring cargo safety and security through proper tarping and strapping
- Reporting to central dispatch and following all transportation guidelines
Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants should have:
- Language: Fluency in English
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
- License: AZ Class with Air Brake Endorsement
- Experience: Long-haul trucking (training will be provided)
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Personal Qualities: Reliable, organized, hardworking, and a team player
Work Conditions and Travel
- Long hours, including overnight and cross-border trips
- Ability to handle heavy loads and sit for extended periods
- Must have a valid and verified driver’s licence
- Willing to relocate or travel across provinces/countries
