Job Description
As a Truck Driver at AK Transportation Ltd, you will:
- Maintain professionalism in customer service
- Load and unload goods
- Inspect vehicle condition (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, etc.)
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Record cargo details, mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch
- Ensure all safety protocols and transport regulations are followed
Job Requirements
- Language: English
- Education: No formal education required
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a similar role
- Licences: AZ Class and Class 1/1F/A (semi-trailer trucks)
- Physical Ability: Able to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Skills: Organized, reliable, flexible, and excellent interpersonal communication
Work Conditions:
- Work in various locations across Canada
- Operate tractor-trailer units
- Use GPS, trip recorders, and other navigation systems
